Today…..Dr. Onamusi ( sp) ….preached….. it was deep,
it was condensed….but it HIT….it stuck with me.

The Magi – brought gifts to JESUS…..they walked for years….
seeking the LORD…..they walked through different country side…
They sought diligently after the LORD JESUS….
And they carried those gifts….with them, to offer them to JESUS.
Gold , Frankinsense and Myrh ( sp )

They were gifts fit for a KING…
They had worth….as JESUS had worth to them.
Their desire was to pay tribute, to give, to honor, to show their love
to JESUS…….with a gift.

We watched today, many gifts being opened……
some made someone cry deeply….for it touched her heart.
some of it was new and boughten, some was just given.
to pay honor and to love.
some just brought a smile on a child’s face….” just what I wanted”
it brought that  ” you thot of me “……my desire was heard….
( the what more does our Father in Heaven….give to us……) type….

There is no limit……in our hearts on why we give.
There is no restraint…..There is no boundaries……
for the Magi’s…..gave to JESUS……They gave….from their hearts…
to the LORD JESUS CHRIST….

The hype of Christmas – commercialized….too MUCH ?
you bet…..hands down.
The depth of what I seen today in my niece, Lori….
is “giving”….that honored…that loved….that touched ….
from one heart to the other…..

Marla and Gabe, Livi, Ava, Nina….giving to the boys…the orphans….
to give the gift of love…through ” their gold , frankinsense , and myrh…”
They seen their eyes light up…their hearts touched….they too carried
the gifts for mile upon mile…

A gift exchange between cousins….. a hot wheel car, a craft of beads box..
watching a cousin….watch with anticipation…if they liked it..
for THEY picked it out for them in mind ….
…..even to our DAD…
that needed ” one more pair of pants “….he got 5 !!!!  ( it got to be FUNNY )
or my husbands’ face light up literally like a kids…at 54 !

but we gave out of love, honor and a tribute to each other…
and the relationship we have as a family.

That to me is sacred…….it was sacred to the Magi’s…..
and God showed me that today….
Look how they carried it to Me…..
Look how they offered it to Me…..it said something about their
desire to show Me LOVE, to HONOR Me, to pay TRIBUTE….to Me..
their SAVIOR……..

I pray , that the commercializing….always is wrong….
I  pray , our hearts are always right….when we give, from our hearts….
to the orphans, to the boys, to our own families…..to those we love…..
the “gift of JESUS CHRIST…..was giving HIS LIFE…HIS BEST…to others”
the “gift of JESUS CHRIST….is us giving to others….our best”

We are the ones that choose……what we give….why we give….
and when it truly comes from our hearts….our love is conveyed…..
as was the Magi’s.

not the price tag……
but our hearts….the Magi’s gave ” gold, frankinsense and myrh”
Gold…was a Kings gift…to a KING…..The King of KINGS…..amen.
