Reesey and Tanner play UPWORD basketball on Sat.
She told me of her game….she was so proud….
” Grandma….I had an assist…I gave Tanner the ball and he shot ”

That assist =  was positive
The end goal was completed by the start of an ” assist “…….

Reading today about PILATE and the DEATH of JESUS…..
Pilate had an assist……..Pilate ” assisted the devil ”
He put JESUS CHRIST right into the hands of those that
stripped JESUS
put a mocking robe on Him
twisted a crown of thorns on HIM
put a staff in His right hand
knelt in front of Him and mocked HIM
spit on Him
struck Him in the head
CRUCIFIED HIM….put Him to death.

Pilate started that ” assist of the devil “….
but then Pilate ” woke up “……
His wife whispered to him….” do not be a part of that assist”
He did not listen …..

but then ..”  When Pilate SAW that he was getting no where,
but that instead the uproar was starting …”

*  it was getting worse instead of better….” he saw “…..
     Pilate saw that something was not right….in what he was doing….

Matt. 27:  24
” …..he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd.
” I am innocent of this man’s blood ……”

There was a point, a decision point …
That Pilate saw that he was ” assisting the devil and not GOD ”

We have to look in the mirror of our own lives today.
In what I am doing…..me….today….
Am I  :  ” assisting the devil ?” …..and it will please the devil in the end ?
Am I :  ” assisting God….and it will please JESUS CHRIST in the end ?

It is either or……
YOU can not serve two masters…….you can not, you can not.

The goal of JESUS is for others……..
Think of who YOUR OTHERS……what YOU are doing and YOUR OTHERS…
Who is waiting …the end of your  ” assist ” ?
Who will reap….” your assist ” ?

For Reesey ~  it was Tanner, the team
For Jesus ~  it is the lost, the unsaved, our eternity from hell to heaven.

For you ?
It could be your children
It could be your husband or wife
It could be those that are waiting for your help to deliver them
It could be the lost and dying…to hear of JESUS CHRIST…..
It could be yourself.

Jesus Christ…assisted HIS HEAVENLY FATHER……HE DIED
The Disciples….assisted JESUS CHRIST, took up their cross and followed HIM

In life,  it is the ” Reesey’s”   in life that surrender from SHOOTING their own shot
and tell JESUS CHRIST….” I SURRENDER ALL”
” I will pass your will and not my own “

I will assist The Person of JESUS CHRIST,
quit listening to the devil,  believing the lies, and passing satan the ball
for his will to be shot and scored….

I choose today whom I will assist .

As for me and my house…….WE WILL , WE WILL  assist the LORD…
in the name of JESUS CHRIST

and by the blood of the Lamb…..amen.
