Ecc. 4: 4
   ” And I saw that all labor and all achievement spring from
man’s envy of his neighbor.  This too is meaningless,
a chasing after the wind.”

This whole chapter is about what has peace…
                                                         what has spiritual meaning…..

Doing things for self …. working hard but with no purpose….
Doing things alone….with no brother or child…or friend…..

CHASING THE WIND…….

Think about it…literally going outside and running after the wind…
running this way hard….turning and running the other way…
going and going for the entire day….. putting all of your
energy, your thot, your time…..your life….for what ?
    CHASING  ~ THE ~ WIND….. ?

We can think of a child chasing the wind….and there is a smile ….
But think of ourselves as adults ~ out chasing the wind….
              it brings a dull feeling of nothing….meaningless.

I believe God was challenging me this a.m. ~
     What today are you doing for ME…..
     What in my life…..has eternal purpose…that will last ?
     Who is in your life to minister to….to bring joy to….
     Who am I to ” help up”  as it says  ?
 
” Pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up”
“for whom am I toiling ”

” Better one handful with tranquility
than two handfuls with toil and
CHASING OF THE WIND……….”

Our lives…have so many hours in them today…tomorrow…
next week…..
     Seriously,  what has eternal meaning ?
                            who are we investing in ?
Self ?
      
IF God orders our steps, which He does if we allow Him….
Where would they go for our lives  ……
    I truly believe they would not chase after the wind……..
