2 Peter 1 :  8
” For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure,
they will keep you from being INEFFECTIVE and UNPRODUCTIVE
in your knowledge of our LORD JESUS CHRIST .”

Increasing measure =  growth… not being ” idle”  or ” useless”…
not just having them….” oh I love people”…but are you loving them
deeper, more, genuine…are you not “idle” in how you love ?

Do you just ” have JESUS ” , but the FRUIT of the Spirit is lacking ?

If we are EVER GROWING…not staying idle, where we are @ ,
not being satisfied, but digging in deeper w/ each individual that is in our lives:

add to your FAITH
Goodness
knowledge
self control
perseverance
godliness
brotherly kindness
love

*  which one are we just “O.K.”  w/ where we are at ?

I love that person in Christ….but not with the LOVE OF CHRIST…
” how HE would love “…..

O.K. God….how do YOU want me to grow in my love for that person ?

Knowledge –  This is not ” my area”……  seriously…..do we desire to
KNOW GOD MORE ?    We want to know our friends, others…FB….
but GOD ?    just a little knowledge of HIM…just enough to “say”

Self Control……   I have a write to my opinion and everyone around me..
” just needs to hear it or live by it ”
Self control, in eating, exercise…..ouch…..it is an area..of the flesh….
Self Control – getting things done for the LORD, in the LORD,

brotherly kindness…..LOVE –  the doing matches the heart.
I can just love them from a distance, choose who I spend time with..
how much time….just enough to say ” yeah I care”  but not…not
” yes , I love you ……”   I mouth it, but not show it….LOVE…

are we ” idle” ….” not bearing fruit “….” not growing “…..

Why would God say, if we don’t GROW in these areas…
We will be ineffective and unproductive …IN THE KINGDOM ?

” I will have no false prophets “…..vs. ….

To know of Christ …or to ” be like Christ”……
Which manifests….impacts…..changes….magnifies JESUS ?

Do we want to study and say….all our knowledge ?
or
Do we want to LIVE out our knowledge ?

Which produces
Which is effective….
Jesus states BOLDLY…….it is HOW HE LIVED…..

and only living like CHRIST……LIVING….to the point of it is IN US
it is genuine from our heart our desire….to those God puts in our lives….
His choice….each family member….immediate and further
each neighbor, co worker, person we meet…..

If I am not EFFECTIVE for the KINGDOM…..
self check….is the only answer.
