A young girl – 12-13 – ?….”Hope Schempf” that goes to New Life …
By herself saving in her change, her own money…
( her parents helped a bit..just a bit ) and
then….she wanted to give $ 100.00
so she gave up her “PHONE TIME !”…
The Sunday before I left…she handed me $ 100.00 !
For what ?
So that the children she seen in last years video….
WITH JIGGERS…..
so that more children…. could be treated this year !

To be honest….only having $ 30.00 about 2 weeks out….
We didn’t even plan on having “Jigger Day “….
But because of HOPE….. we went into the WORSTE section of
AFRICA…..I have ever been in.
And NOW are hearts have been enlarged by God…
Picture bamboo trees bent to make a rounded Teepee…
Then stack about 5 – 7 deep…the oldest bags…the
most shredded tarps…..then bend over and walk into…
BUGS..laying in their milk pan…you had to look as to
“what in the world”…..they have a blanket on the floor
or not….they said, the “tropical down pours ” in about
2 – 3 weeks…will come straight through….the layers…
” can you give us a layer of ______ ?? ” ( thin tarp )
They try…they really try…with a sense of pride…
” come in..come take a photo…”
The filth, respectfully, is so intense…
THAT THE JIGGERS…are just as intense…. picture a little
boy with socks that are too big for him, so they go to his
knees….that the sores all up his legs have been –
“engrafted (sp) to his entire legs skin…”
I would not even want to tempt….pulling 1/8th of an inch….
The Jiggers….in the toes…fingers…..
of Adults and Children……
2 men we calling…” WE WERE THERE WHEN YOU WERE, MUZUNGU …”
** prison….( smile ) and they sang Benson’s song he sung..
” I Am Free “……
Miner and Rodger treated the jiggers ( thank you HOPE )
and then The Gospel…21 in the slum area got saved…
and the SPIRIT…was AMAZING…..under that tree.
Off to two more areas….in the rural…west of
our land….where Miner grew up… ( he has been with
us over the years ) He was the biggest gun dealer –
pre salvation and Benson’s mentoring…
40 more salvations between the 2 areas…..
Children…LINED a wall waiting, waiting to stick
there feet in the tub of water with “jigger treatment”
and have Miner and Rodger rub, between their toes…
their heels….their legs….in the Name of JESUS….

Thank YOU HOPE….I can only imagine how YOU touched
the heart of GOD…..
I seen you touch the heart of each little child..
and Adults !
