I don’t “know much ”
but
One thing I know….is “who I am not ”
One amazing person gave me this verse today :
Exodus 4:12
” Now go; I will help you speak and will teach
you what to say.”
vs. 10
” Moses said to the LORD, ” O LORD,
I HAVE NEVER BEEN….eloquent, neither in
the PAST nor SINCE you have spoken to your
servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”
What caught me is that …
Moses had NEVER BEEN….
had NEVER BEEN….
HAD NEVER BEEN….
when we know…who we have ” NEVER BEEN ”
sometimes we think….
we can NEVER BE…..
only by the GRACE OF GOD –
” giving us what we DON’T deserve ”
and by the MERCY OF GOD –
” not giving us what we DO DESERVE ”
it should humble us to our knees…..
sometimes it is paralyzing ……
Vs. 11 –
” The LORD said to him, ” WHO GAVE MAN
his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute ?
Who gives him sight or makes him blind ?
IS IT NOT I , THE LORD ? ”
IS IT NOT I , THE LORD ?
vs. 13 ( ever felt this ? )
” O LORD, please send someone else to do it ”
So, what do you do ?
YOU WALK….
YOU WALK….
YOU WALK….
The only place you can walk is
IN THE SPIRIT….
for that is the ONLY PLACE….
your spirit….The Holy Spirit…….
Walk in the Spirit
not in your flesh
not in your intellect
not in your will
but in The Spirit.
Amen. I once heard or read somewhere that while eloquent preachers can bring God glory, it’s when regular folk serve Him where His Spirit’s power is most evident. Eph. 2:8,9 – no chance can someone pretend for a moment that it was because of so and so’s talent (though that happens and God can use anything, that’s not my point) – but because He uses regular folk to accomplish mighty things in His name…and the phrase He uses cracked pots…that the more cracks there are in the vessel, the more of His light can come out. Thank you for being obedient, like Moses, even when you feel inadequate. Obviously the ministry has been favored by the Lord, I believe because you seek His face, His will, His Word, and go. 🙂
