Reading Philippians 4
Paul’s heart was made glad because the
Philippian Christians had continued to show
interest in his work for the LORD.

** It has amazed me how individuals, churches..
has continued to SUPPORT the WORK of THE LORD
in Africa over the many years. This year was our
largest support…THANK YOU !

Paul was so glad that they had NOT FORGOTTEN
him. Through them GOD had met his needs.

Through YOU, God has met the individuals needs
in Kenya !

It said, that PAUL DID NOT BEG God’s people.
He PUT THE NEED before them and trusted GOD
to meet it.

** That is what Stanley Tam told me the 1st
year I went = Godly wisdom !

Paul, learned the secret of being CONTENT.
HE HAD TO LEARN THE LESSON of “contentment”

* ARROW….hitting there !

That CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES did not AFFECT
the inner contentment he ENJOYED ! wow.

From a human perspective:
Contentment = a calm acceptance of life’s
pressures from human perspective.

Paul’s Perspective ~
Contentment = divine bestowed sufficiency.

What ever the pressures of life ~ content
An “easy time” in life ~ content
A “rough time” in life ~ content

Then Paul says,” I HAVE LEARNED THE SECRET”

Paul – ” I can do everything ”
I can do the easy times
I can do the hard times
I can do the times in the fog
I can do the times in the sunshine

And HE ENJOYED his contentment !!

vs. 13 ” I can do everything through
Him who gives me strength.”

I – have to do it
I , “do it”, through JESUS CHRIST
and
Jesus gives ~ “ME”~ the strength.

No handouts, just the strength to
in all circumstances of our own
individual lives….to be
content
in + with DIVINE SUFFICIENCY.

Our choice ~ ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY
every season
every chapter of our life, amen !
