Coming home from the cabin today…..
I turned on Fairmont Rd….up the hill……
Only to see ~  MORE PURPLE…( my Mom’s favorite color)
becuase it stood for Christ as King……

More purple flowers….
a wreath with a purple sash..w/  ~ MOM ~ on it….
a Cross with purple flowers on it….
some that I had put on earlier…..
and her PURPLE TULIP…just happened to be blooming….

It flooded my heart…..
It took me to a place how NONE OF US…
NONE OF US will ever forget the MOM she was to us  all
The GRANDMA…she was to each one.

She hand washed all our good clothes…
She canned and canned and canned….
She kept score at all our ballgames….
She cooked every Holiday to no end….
She cleaned our home, the walls, scrubbed the floors….
She took us on walks, read, played games, sang to us…
and willingly put into our lives…..

But most of all : 
   HER SALVATION……lead us to JESUS….
   Her personal LOVE FOR JESUS……
   Her time we seen her read His Word, study His WORD..
       Sing to Him as if HE was in our house….
      Pray for the unsaved until they were….
      Not care about being popular with her stand for GOD…
     Her love for her pastors, her church, her friends….

From that stop today…..it hit hard, she is not here.
  BUt it hit even harder….. for me to LOVE THE LORD intensely….
      In HONOR OF JESUS CHRIST……who gave His life
so that my Mom….today…..
     Is in HIS PRESENCE………that beats any cook out….any
wrapped gift, any card…..

anything that we could give her….
is trumped by the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST………
    her eyes are on HIM ALONE…
    may I live my life in that same posture.
