I had to YOU, Lori from God …
I had Gabe ~ written
I had Judah ~ written
and as of today….
I could write a few others…

* Why do we have “our chapter of trials” ?

2 Cor. 1: 3
” PRAISE be to God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, THE FATHER OF COMPASSION
GOD OF ALL COMFORT…
4.who comforts US in all OUR TROUBLES,
so that WE can comfort those in ANY TROUBLE
with the comfort WE OURSELVES have
RECEIVED FROM GOD.”

1. Jesus = Father of Compassion
God of all comfort

* So the family trait should look like this
Jesus – compassion + comfort
Us to others – compassion + comfort

( why does it turn into disgust, anger,
lack of patience, misunderstanding, hate ? )

Ever heard someone say, ” he/she sure doesn’t act
like the others in family.”

* Do people look at us as “Children of the LORd ”
Do we “act like we belong to HIM alone ?”

There PAIN was so GREAT in this chapter :
vs 8.
1. Under GREAT pressure
2. despaired EVEN LIFE
3. far beyond our ability to endure
4. heart felt the sentence of death

Ever felt this ?

vs. 9b ” But this happened that we
might NOT RELY ON OURSELVES but
ON GOD, who raises from the dead.”

I LOVE, how God takes you
RIGHT TO HIS MOST + GREATEST POWER….

I/GOD, RAISE FROM THE DEAD
I/GOD, RAISE PEOPLE FROM THE DEAD !

( what are we going through ? )

vs. 10
” He HAS DELIVERED us from such a deadly peril
and HE WILL deliver us ….”

10 . ON HIM we have SET OUR HOPE
that HE WILL CONTINUE to deliver us….as you
help us with your prayers.

My Mom 15 months of brain cancer – died
My Dad died
Gabe had a heart attack at 34
Trials in families

They aren’t the 1st,
They won’t be the last

ON HIM WE HAVE SET OUR HOPE ( period )
