DANIEL PROTSMAN

LIMA — Daniel Neal Protsman, 66,
was called into the presence of the Lord, 5:44 pm Friday,
August 22, 2014 at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

Daniel was born April 30, 1948 in Lima to the late Harold J
. and Hattie E. (Lanker) Protsman.

On July 25, 1997 he married
Jamie L. (Clapper) Protsman, who survives in Lima.

Dan was a 1966 graduate of Shawnee High School,
and attended Bluffton College. In 1979 he graduated
from the FBI National Academy.

He was an Inspector with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department
for many years, and currently worked for Northwestern
Ohio Security.

Dan was a proud and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
His greatest joy was his grandchildren.
Dan was a member of Shawnee Alliance Church.

Survivors include three children, Stacie L. (Jo) Protsman
, Chip N. (Holly) Protsman, both of Lima,
and Daniel A. (Jenise) Protsman, of Sylvania;

two step-children, Kirstin K. Ward,
and Jonathan M. (Tiffeny) Anspach,
both of Lima;

and nine grandchildren, Malena, Madison, Ethan,
Devin, Reagan, Kaitlyn, James, Addison, and Daniel.

Other survivors include, two brothers, Harold “Jake” Protsman,
of Norfolk, VA, and Tom (Holly) Protsman, of Lima;

in-laws, James and Louise Clapper, of Lima;

three brothers-in-law, Steve (Linda) Clapper, of Lima,
Craig (Jan) Clapper, of South Bend, IN,
and Mark (Libby) Clapper of Cary, NC.

Funeral services will begin 10:30 am Tuesday, August 26, 2014
at Shawnee Alliance Church,
4455 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45806. Dr. Daniel Messner will officiate.
Burial will follow in Bluelick Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, August 25, 2014
at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES,
SHAWNEE CHAPEL and one hour prior the funeral at the church.
