Romans 7: 15 – 16
” For that which I do I allow not; for what I WOULD DO,
that do I NOT;  but what I hate,  that I do.
If then I do that which I would not,
I consent unto the law that it is good.
Now then it is no more I that do it,
but sin that dwelleth in me.”

Sin lives within us…in our flesh.
Paul is not saying he is NO GOOD.
Paul is saying,  “nothing good….lives in,  me”

Like a splinter in your finger…..
it, ( the splinter/  the sin ) that is in me, IS NO GOOD.

Paul separates himself from the sin.
It is our responsibility….to keep ourselves FROM SINNING …
Rom. 6: 12  – Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body….
Sin is with us…..but we are not sin.

The splinter is in us, but we are not the splinter…..

Paul feels horrible….but yet HE DELIGHTS IN JESUS CHRIST…
We sin, we carry guilt, shame…..but yet our hearts DELIGHT IN JESUS CHRIST,
in all sincerity , we LOVE THE LORD……

We may feel,  DEFEATED, DISCOURAGED….because we are not seeing VICTORY
in the area that we feel guilty or shamed about over and over….

The battle of  sin in our flesh and our mind…..
The deception of being told that we should feel such guilt, shame… continually…..

What is the true lie…..the true deception we are listening to ?
That LIE……( guilt and shame ) then is silenced by what ?
That LIE….then is silenced by what ?

How do we silence that ?
by –  cutting down others ?
by not allowing others to love us genuinely
by building a wall….
controlling our area even tighter ?
eating….
laziness…..

Are we truly content with our lives ?
Right where we are at…. Our home
Our husband
Our children
Are we silencing something …….
A deception……. a lie from satan…….. ?

Who alone can rescue us….to live in HIS TRUTH ?
HE came to set the captives free from HELL….
HE came to set us the captives free from the control of  sin/ satan on earth.
in our individual life…..free from our own mind, our own flesh….

Renounce the sin……..what we do to silence….the battle…
our reaction….in the flesh to silence the battle….
I react – this way…..because I feel  ______________________
I react this way…because JESUS has told me truth, ___________________

Through CHRIST JESUS the law of the – SPIRIT OF LIFE
SPIRIT…….OF …….LIFE…….
set me free from the law of sin and death.    Rom. 8: 12

Satan would love to keep us captive in guilt and shame.
Satan would love to keep us captive in discontent
Satan would love to keep us captive in inferiority…..

But let the REDEEMED…….say and live SO !
What we live, is what HIS death means to us.
