How do you sit in the fact…..that the little boy….
That ” camped out with my brothers….”
and the first time I seen him, they wanted me to see if
I could beat him up, smile.

How do you sit in the fact…..
The boy you sat on the phone and because he was so shy…
YOU only …..sat on the phone and never talked except to say,
” Goodbye, see you tomorrow at school”.

How do you sit in the fact….
The boy you cried at his graduation….
you ended up crying with him
thru his mothers’ death…
his brothers’ death…
his fathers’ death…

The depth of that boy being 55 this week….

I’ve seen him get kicked out of ballgames….
Spin his wheels on his mustang….
His big trucks…..( when gas was cheap)

Rock has loved his sons….to no end…..
Provide for their own cars, tires, speakers ….
as if they were his own ride….
Provide for their college,
and when times were rough…
HE never quit working overtime to have enough.

What has never changed ?
His hair…..in which has more meaning than length.
His work ethic…..he enjoys physical labor in all seriousness.
His hunting, His Browns, His thoughts that are truth….
spoken or unspoken…he sees through to truth…..

What has changed ?
He is a Grandpa to 6 kids he thinks the world of….
He loves the LORD
He worships the LORD
He desires others to know the LORD…..

55……….Do we care about getting older ~  NO WAY…

But does it stop you and make you look @ ~
HE has lived, went through, worked hard
to be who he is today…..

@ 55 he moved with his friend by hand
17 TON of stone…..this week…
instead of a front end loader…
in which he drove for 14 yrs.

I can buy him a card….a present….
write in ink many things on this guy….
but what is awesome….is we are so close…
HE KNOWS MY heart for each thing he has done for
me, for Gabe, for Tug, for my Mom…in all our lives…….
