READING :   1 PETER 5…..this a.m. ~

The ones that God gives us……
The ones God puts under us….. how are we to lead ?

vs. 3   ” not lording it over those entrusted to you,
BUT BEING EXAMPLES to the flock”

earlier…..it states…” not because you must…but because you are willing..
as God wants you to.”

What is our example, seriously…to those God has given us ?
Do we seek the LORD, desire the LORD…want to LIVE in the LORD ?
IF we were to teach a child to bat….how would we ?

We would show them.

Have you ever been under someone spiritually that just YEARNS for God HIMSELF ?
They are so in love with God…that when you are around them,
YOU TOO, desire to be with HIM more ?

God HIMSELF tells us the key :  BE EXAMPLES

Who is “under us right now ?”   your children ?
a coworker ?
a spouse or friend ?

Our example of how we seek, live , & breathe  JESUS CHRIST…is what they will pick up.
When they are 16……we can’t  say…” I wish they would have more Christian friends ”
When our marriages, when our friendships….when…….our…..

If we truly are examples of  :
That is what will run over to them alone……they are standing right “under us”
What comes from within us…over flows ONTO …..them.

How important then…..is our example ?
” who God has entrusted to you”   vs. 3

a. all humility
b. God opposes the proud

” that HE may lift YOU UP…………IN DUE TIME ”

Our one goal daily….to be under HIM……under HIM….under HIM…
Humbly…..under God, willingly…..so under HIM…
so that those that HE has entrusted to us…..would  get what ?

HIM ALONE.

The overflow of JESUS CHRIST alone….willingly flowing through us…
over to them…..right under us….

Picture a fountain, the water flowing over it…and our children standing
right under our fountain…..the LIVING WATER OF JESUS CHRIST alone
coming from within, through us…to them….. how will they grow up in THAT ?

How will our work …our ministry…our friendships….our lives to impact grow ?

AMAZINGLY ~  in JESUS CHRIST alone.
