I have went thru some times in ministry,
I have went thru some times in life….
YOU have or may be going thru right now….
” a time……”

The BURDEN……….

that which is borne with difficulty
obligation …….
the burden of leadership.
the bearing of a load …….
?Overburden –
A source of great worry or stress
weight:
A responsibility or duty…..

Ministry for me can get ” weighty ”
all the individuals in AFRICA….etc.
For you right now….
What is your burden…the “SOURCE” of
great worry…
What is your “SOURCE” of
BEARING the LOAD ?

Prov. 3: 5 – 6
” TRUST in the LORD …
TRUST in the LORD…with ALL your heart”
( it can break your heart, consume your heart…
worry your heart…but that is where GOD
wants YOUR TRUST, TO STEM FROM..w/ ALL ….
your heart )

and….
LEAN NOT on your OWN UNDERSTANDING…

When we carry a burden
by…
and within our OWN selves….
You have to STAND UPRIGHT…
to carry….
I carry armloads of wood…and
I HAVE TO GET UNDER IT…to CARRY IT….
in lifting a heavy chair out of the basement….
I HAVE to get under it…and with all my might
LIFT IT UP….to even be able to DO IT…..

W/ our “BURDEN” we STAND under it….
Trying with all our MIGHT
Trying with all OUR HEART , to “carry it ourselves”

Even in doing it, we think , we are trying
to HONOR the LORD…

When you, “LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING….”

** Who do you think HE wants us to LEAN ON ?

Picture Jesus Christ behind you….
and YOU lean back on HIM….
when you lean into someones arms…
you feel THEIR LOVE…..”THEIR….LOVE ”
you feel THEIR STRENGTH…
YOU feel THEIR SUPPORT….
THEY HAVE YOU……..

Stay away from JESUS CHRIST ?
Carry this on your own ?
YOU feel nothing

…BUT THE BURDEN…
and guess who carries it with GREAT STRUGGLE ? ( US )

We can do it so long….
We have a lot in us…to do it for so long….
But then it becomes HEAVY…”beyond us ”

* every have a kid want to help you ?
” I got it Grandma….then….
Grandma…this is HEAVY ”

YOU carry something with YOUR hands turned up…
You carry something with your arms under it….
YOUR MUSCLES flexing…straining….
and in some sense, you feel ” accomplished ”
but then IT GETS HEAVY…and

” I can not carry this any longer”

THAT IS WHEN……( picture your hands, your arms straining )
That is when….you,carrying that burden…
YOU TURN YOUR HANDS …. UP, UP, UP to HEAVEN.
YOU TURN THEM PALMS VERTICAL not HORIZONTAL- face out….
UP TO HEAVEN……you lean back a bit….
YOU shift your eyes from the object of burden..
to the GAZE OF HEAVEN And all IT’S GLORY

And you straighten YOUR arms tight
RAISING them HIGH and LIFTED UP….
your palms refuse to go back to that
HORIZONTAL…..

You get engulfed …in WORSHIP
REMAINING in praise
REMAINING in WORSHIP……

and your burden becomes light….
and your darkness turns into joy….
and you lean back and feel the LOVE
that, JESUS HAS FOR YOU…..
YOU FEEL HIS LOVE
YOU REFUSE TO CARRY THIS BURDEN ANY MORE…
YOU REFUSE TO CARRY THIS BURDEN ANY MORE….

Hands raised….
” my yoke is heavy, but my burden is LIGHT ”

muscles never flexed again…..
TO CARRY A BURDEN…….

I challenge you …
To get a worship song that is ministering to you right now…
Get alone….
Go from the posture of carrying…
to the posture of worshipping…..
Release and RENEW….. HIS LOVE FOR YOU !
