Reading Mark 4 –  Parables….

vs. 35….Jesus said to his disciples, ” let us go to the other side.”
Their lives were at a point of ” leaving the crowd behind”…..
a.  going to the cabin
b. going on a get away…what ever……
There life was thinking,  ahhhh   finally…………….

vs. 37  – a FURIOUS storm came….and  – – — – —

ALMOST…………ALMOST…………ALMOST….
broke over the boat….
so it was NEARLY swamped.

Disciples ~  ” don’t you care if we drowned?”

not , ” don’t you care if we get wet…..don’t you care if our boat…
but ~  DON’T YOU CARE IF WE DROWNED ? ”
It truly was in their face, they might die, they might drowned….

vs 39.  ” HE REBUKED the wind and said to the waves….
QUIET !  BE STILL!”

The wind and the waves obeyed HIS authority…..
Even the wind and the waves obeyed Him…..

The reality of this…the true reality of this.
our own lives ?
We are on our way……going with JESUS CHRIST….
doing what HE desires with him…..
and BAM…..

They weren’t doing anything wrong…..
Jesus was sleeping, HE knew the end results….HE knew…
* their faith was taken to a deeper level….
what they experienced….what we are experiencing….
in all reality to us….

THE STORM…..is deepening our faith,
we are in the boat, it is our boat, our lives…
our storm….we are even WITH JESUS….
and HE WILL SHOW US…
HIS POWER< HIS DIVINE INTENSE POWER….

and when HE DOES STAND…… “QUIET !  BE STILL ! ”

We will know that HE is God…..
again,   we will get in the boat even quicker with Him
we will ride it with more confidence ….
because HIS power was manifested in our own lives……

to HIM be the glory….HE is God…

We ask YOU to stand today, today and say to our storm…
” QUIET !  BE STILL ! ”   in the name above every name …….JESUS , amen
