Isa 53:5
“But He was wounded for our transgressions;
He was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement of our peace was on Him;
and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.”

I could not let go of this…. and so as I sat with
Linda Rone….we just kept going on and on about it…
so excited….

Why when we are praying with someone concerning healing…
Do we pray this verse……..
What literally does it mean ?
( this may not be theologically correct,
but it is what sat hard  in my soul )

His stripes – the many lashings…that tore His skin, made Him bleed…
The PHYSICAL….condition of His body = did not kill JESUS.
( I know we know that……)

Matt.  27 : 50
    ” And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice,
HE gave up HIS spirit.”

HE chose when His time to die was.
HE chooses when it is for our time to die will be.

Not our physcial condition….
If we are told we have cancer……and we are a child
of GOD…… cancer does not have dominion over us.

( another verse I read started….)  ** AH Sovereign Lord……

Either HE is Sovereign over all…or HE is not…
and HE IS…… over everything..

HIS STRIPES…..showed that
HIS STRIPES…..showed that ~

HE is Soverign…

and by…. and in…. His Sovereinty –  we are healed.

He chooses to heal….HE can heal ~ all powerful LORD
He chooses not to heal…..HE is still ~ Ah Sovereign Lord.

but , by and in His stripes…
we see – the physical does not control our destiny
we see – by faith – the things unseen…

Satan tried to kill Jesus

Joh 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy.
I have come so that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.

Think of His stripes this EASTER……
and take them to your own life…..
Satan you are not in control…..
Satan you did not have victory over my Lord, my Savior…
   one lashing….two lashings….many lashings…..
HE IS STILL SOVEREIGN…..my faith is in HIM

who shed His blood/ suffered in obedience
who chose when HIS last breath would be….
who rose again !
