The DESIRE FOR JESUS ….when nothing is happening ?

Isn’t it amazing our walk with the LORD ?
How every EASTER…GOD reveals a new truth
Something that we just can’t leave go of …

This year to me, it is
The Seeking of JESUS
The Desire of JESUS more than anyone else….
More than friends
More than family
More than Rock
More than Facebook…

JESUS….a genuine hunger to think of Him..
a genuine hunger to live in the spirit with HIS SPIRIT
a desire to meditate on HIS WORD, HIS LIFE…HIS WALK
JESUS.

Reading…..How those near HIM….literally on earth
They were so …._____? –
to be able to literal live with HIM…

Jesus Christ burial officially confirmed HIS DEATH…..
* made me think, when NOTHING IS HAPPENING IN OUR LIVES….
no miracles, no huge revelations, no stirring,
even when we are placed in a ” testing – ON HOLD “…
it is just QUIET from JESUS’ side….

THEY SOUGHT HIM……
They even went to HIS body…..

When they couldn’t get ANYTHING FROM HIM……
THEY SOUGHT HIM…..

A huge, huge thing that stirs me…..
Is a life of ” what can I get out of this ?”
Is a life of ” how can I use this person ? ”

Even a self sacrificing life, can be self centered….

The seeking out of JESUS
When they could receive NOTHING FROM HIM……
The pure motive of desiring JESUS
The genuine – one way out – LOVE OF JESUS…truly.

** is that not true in our relationships on earth with others…
who would we contact if we could get nothing from them ?
who would we want to be with, learn from , live with ?
if we could get nothing from them ?

How do we LOVE JESUS…. out of ADORATION
or of what we can ABSORB from HIM ?

Joseph of Arimathea boldly went to Pilate for Jesus’ body.
* He was dead, could get nothing out of Him….
* He put himself out there to Pilate…
1. his request was bold, he wasn’t related to Jesus
2. he probably would be denied,
because Jesus was executed for treason
he went anyways…
3. the risk he face of handling a dead body ( defilement )
4. confessing openly that he was loyal to JESUS
and would receive people against him

We do many things “for JESUS” with the thing of HE IS ALIVE…
” if I ….”, ” then this will happen”…” and maybe ????”….

But when there is nothing in return
But when there is nothing going on positive
But when it is just ” TO JESUS “….
Go to JUST WORSHIP JESUS……in HIS HOUSE
Go to JUST LISTEN TO HIM……
Go to HIS WORD…..not to get so I can move my life on…
Go to HEAR…..His voice to actually LISTEN.

Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James,
went in the dark…..
went – while it was dark……

* do we seek JESUS out, when it is DARK…..
can’t see where our lives are going
no light is being shed on an area of our life….
nothing….
and JESUS is quiet……( nothing has happened on
the positive side from JESUS, can’t see anything about
to turn in that direction )

BUT OUR SEEKING…. is pure to STILL DESIRE HIM
BUT OUR SEEKING…. is humble and genuine to JUST DESIRE HIM….

They went….they sought….
The purest form of love….of JESUS ….
” Wanting JESUS , Loving JESUS with no self motives….
Just JESUS…..
I even think of that song ,
” And because HE LIVES……..then it turns right back to self…
I CAN FACE …. ” I ” can face tomorrow ….
As much as I love it…..
it still is putting us in that mode of ” I CAN FACE, with JESUS”
( it is ALL TRUTH )
but what about GOING to HIM…. for HIM alone ?
He went to the cross ….. for us alone.
