God speaking right where I need it today :
1 Cor. 10  –  on ” self indulgence ”

That doesn’t have to mean material indulgence for self
That doesn’t have to mean the edifying of self indulgence….
For me, it can mean, ” staying in the hole” of self thinking….
or what I call ” a funk that I can’t get out of ”

The CRAVING of more :
More ministry, more FOR ministry,  a movement w/
Africa, the knowledge to know what to do for Africa….
more, more…..MORE….what am I NOT DOING ?
The growing WEARY……..gets overwhelming….
yet it is still about ” SELF”……is it not ? What can I ?

Num. 11: 4 – 34
The Israelites cried out ” GIVE US MEAT TO EAT”
vs. 13  God gave them – WHAT THEY WANTED …
and while the meat was still between their TEETH,
HE struck them with a plague.   WHOA…..
( from a commentary ) ……

The Israelites named their cemetery :
” Kibroth Hattaavah” =  GRAVES OF CRAVING

1 Cor. 10: 16
” Is not the cup of THANKSGIVING for which we gave
thanks a PARTICIPATION in the BLOOD OF CHRIST  ?”

( to me ) When we choose to say, GOD I AM THANKFUL
today, today for what YOU have for me, what YOU have provided
for me…..I look just at YOU dying for me, YOU are LORD,
YOU are sovereign, I AM THANKFUL…….I am THANKFUL.

It talked about vs. 21  ” you cannot have part in both
the Lord’s table and the table of demons.”

It is much much deeper than this blog…..
HE IS THE ONE LOAF….HIS BODY
HE IS THE ONE AND ONLY CUP…..HIS BLOOD

Under that ….. IS HE not LORD of our lives….
The ” CUP OF THANKSGIVING ”

I have a little candle cup from Tractor Supply….
It smells without burning it, so amazingly…..
and today, it reminds me…..
vs. 21
what cup ? What Cup ?
THANKSGIVING ?
or
CRAVING ?

” Kibroth Hattaavah” =  GRAVES OF CRAVING

Our spiritual dreams, ministries, families, lives…
can be killed by staying “in”
THE CRAVING…..and not being THANKFUL..
so thankful for our salvation
so thankful HE even chose us
so thankful HE IS SOVEREIGN and we are not
so thankful HIS WAYS are HIGHER than ours….

going to sit in this one today…..
and REJOICE and not grow weary…..
and REJOICE and BE GLAD…
going to ENJOY JESUS alone, today !
