Acts 14:14 + 15
“But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard
of this, THEY TORE THEIR CLOTHES and rushed out
to the crowd shouting, Men, why are you doing this ?
( wanting to offer sacrifices to them for the
miralces they did ~ JESUS DID )
WE too are only men…. human like you…..
We are BRINGING you good news,
telling you to turn from these worthless things
to THE LIVING GOD, who made heaven and earth and sea
and everything in them.

How much is it deep in our souls,
NOT TO BE SEEN in what we do for the LORD
or in the LORD….

How much is it in our souls…
not to want people to even LOOK AT US…
or give ANY CREDIT to us ?

THAT WE WOULD TEAR OUR CLOTHES….
THAT IT WOULD COMPEL us to strip ourselves
completely DOWN TO OUR HUMANITY ?

With todays BE SEEN in everything we do…
Facebook, media…etc.
Does that FEED our ego ?
Does that keep our clothes on ?

Does the depth of my character cry out…
” DON’T SEE ME….DON’T SEE ME ”
see only GOD
see only JESUS CHRIST……

I think back of my Mom and all she did
all our lives, for the LORD, for others,
for our family….and never once did she
“post it”….

In today’s society…I think
there are “new battles”…
and that they too…
had their own old battles….

but all in all…
then and now….
THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, ( period )

not us….
CHRIST ALONE ( period )
all eyes, all glory, all praise, all worship.
