That is what I always say…when it “goes it goes ~ IN KENYA ”
Teen Meeting tonite =  13 – 50’s   smile….but mostly  20 ‘s….
Got started late, because ~   a.  on Kenya time – say 3 starts at 4
b. it poured so hard, for so long you could not hear yourself…
under the TIN ROOF !  smile…
The discussion between DOWN POURS…was truly GOD…leading to the ” lesson” smile…

The Donkey before the CART… here is literal….as you see them daily…
but the cart is always behind the Donkey….
Are they trying to get out of poverty, trying to work, choosing their vocation….
on what ?  Africa Culture, work hard, struggle….strive….?
Or…

Are they LETTING JESUS GO BEFORE THEM…. ?
1 Tim. 6: 9 ~ 15     The love of  money….walking into the snare of satan’s trap…
Mt. 6: 33   But seek ye first the KINGDOM of God….. and ALL…applies to AFRICA !

It was discussions, laughter,  having one girl walk without taking her eyes off Justus…
having your eyes fixed on “$$$$”….  or on JESUS….?
and so it ended…..the sound of older singles, praying asking God to let them
be “DIFFERENT….a LIGHT in the DARKNESS….”
To their poverty stricken area….SHOW  THEM…the way of GOD….is right, is TRUTH !

Would like to quit there…but it was starting to rain again…
GETTING DARK ~ FAST…
and so, w/ back pack on, the MUZUNGU….hits the trails…

I am talking UNDER WATER MUD…..slick ….what ever.
Racing time to make the bridge before dark…
Knowing the rain pulled out the oil….water up…
” made it”…
Now for the hand plowed cornfields…in water…
The darkness sets in……. now for the lumpy path…
with rollercoaster divits and hills….

Houston…” we have our room, our bed…”
and our back pack…un entered…!   Thank YOU JESUS !

Dorcas and Benson took the 5 mile trek…

Dorcas walked to the ” good road ” then took a piki piki..
Benson,  took his bike…as in ” dirt bike/ mud bike” style..

Welcome to Kenya !    smile…gotta love the challenges !  smile, seriously !

I can’t imagine the memories this kind of stuff gives you. Praying for you today while I sit here watching football – these stories make me excited for Cambodia! Thanks for being such an inspiration, focused on the cross and not on yourself. Be careful out there!
