but I press on to TAKE HOLD of that for which Christ Jesus TOOK HOLD of me.”

the next verse He uses :   ” forgetting what is behind and STRAINING TOWARD ….
what is ahead.”

Take hold ~  GRAB tight ~  cling ~  not let go with force……

Think of Jesus Christ ” taking hold of you”…..coming to earth, dying….Arose….
walking out of the tomb……and then ” grabbing hold of YOU…”

I , Jesus Christ…..choose YOU _______________
I, Jesus Christ for my Kingdom on earth….choose YOU ______________
I , JESUS CHRIST  …..CHOOSE YOU ____________

In ” grabbing you ”  what do you get ?
The Holy Spirit indwells you …immediately…..

Continuing on it says :  vs15
” and if on some point you think differently, that too GOD WILL MAKE CLEAR TO YOU”

We pray for others diligently, we seek God for our own lives…..
With HIS WORD being the absolute truth….” GOD WILL MAKE CLEAR ”

If things look like mud right now, ask God to make them clear.
GOD, in His power…in HIS love for us…

HE IS THE ONE WHO GRABBED US…..
Ask HIM to make clear the exact will of the ~  ” God why did you take hold of me ? ”
God make it clear to me and I WILL, I WILL ~  GRAB HOLD OF IT….

Satan will not pry it from my hands, for it is from YOU.
My family, friends, stranger, enemy…..will not pry it from my hands for it is FROM YOU.

( we have to make sure it is FROM HIM, first )  ” made clear from GOD , alone.”
or in that we are putting great effort into something ~  that is NOT CLEAR.
that would be a  ” MUD MISSION “……

Clear from us, but not from God…….
But when it is CLEAR…..we GRAB HOLD…..for the very reason HE GRABBED hold of us.

Feel His hands digging onto your arms.
Feel HIS hands digging onto your shoulders….” take hold ” ~  to me is FIRM.
It is to NEVER LET GO…..it is a deep, deep desire to have US ~  GOD HIMSELF….

vs. 16  ” Only let us live up to what we have already obtained ”

He ” took hold of us “….. HIS CHOICE is me !
* the greatness of Jesus Christ is my Lord  ( vs. 8 )
* to be found in Him
* my righteousness in Him , through faith
* knowing Christ + the power of HIS RESURRECTION

” press on to TAKE HOLD of that for which CHRIST JESUS…
